Just a quick note on today's activities.....
We left JFK a bit late, but arrived in Cairo an hour early...with no problems. The flight was easy and everyone was tired but fine.
After clearing customs we went ot our hotel (Cairo Cataract) and settled into our rooms. OUr travel agent arranged a sail boat to take us for a ride on the Nile. It was great to travel through the streets of Cairo and then take a nice sailing journey up and down the Nile. We were able to learn how materials were moved along the Nile of commerce in ancient times.
When we returned we had dinner and everyone is happy...but tired and ready for bed.
Tomorrow we will see the great pyramids of Giza and visit the Cairo Museum. More tomorrow....
